The gameplay in Buckshot Roulette revolves around tension, probability, and psychological pressure. Two players sit at the table while one becomes the wagerer through a random selection process. The wagerer can risk between one and three drops on themselves to keep control of the round and increase the danger for the opposing player.

After placing the wager, the dealer points the loaded shotgun at the non-wagerer. If the shotgun fails to fire within the selected number of drops, the wagerer loses their role and the turn passes to the surviving opponent. The next wager must always be equal to or higher than the previous risk, creating escalating pressure as rounds continue.

If the shotgun fires successfully, the non-wagerer is instantly eliminated and the wager cycle resets. Surviving rounds becomes increasingly stressful because every decision affects the next wager, forcing players to carefully manage risk, predict outcomes, and pressure their opponent into dangerous situations.
